Mont Bleu Review

It seems like ages since the last time I did a review for you guys. I was sent a lovely package from Mont Bleu all the way from Czech Republic. It took approximately 2 weeks to arrive at my door in Canada. I didn’t pick what products I was going to receive so I’m not sure how the check out process is. I was sent 4 items: 2 nail filers, 1 tweezer, and 1 pair of earrings.

 Thoughts on the Nail Filers:

Honestly, I think the Swarovski crystals are very cute on the filers. I keep the small one in my purse with me, and the large one with my nail painting supplies. So far the filers haven’t torn my nail, or left them with a rough feeling.

Thoughts on the eyebrow tweezer:

I don’t know a lot about tweezers, I typically buy them at the drugstore. I used this one last night and work the exact same as the ones I buy at the store. The only issues I’m worried about is the crystals falling off because my thumbs go right where they are placed.

Thoughts on the earrings:

There isn’t too much to say about the earrings. They are super cute and haven’t rusted, or turned my ears green or anything. And they are of course beautiful. The earrings are a rainbow colour, which you can’t really pick up in the photo.

Overall I would recommend these products to you guys! The products are beautiful, and everyone really should invest in a glass nail filer.

My Empties

It’s finally starting to feel like spring in Canada!!!

I’ve kept the products that I’ve hit bottom on to show all of you, because we all know you’re dying to see my garbage 😉

I would definitely re-purchase this. It was super nice on my sensitive skin, and didn’t break me out!

I would not re-purchase this again, I know some people love it but I hated it. It was a pain to get off and it wasn’t very volumizing. It actually expired before I could finish it.

Finally finished this!! I really did not like these makeup removing wipes. I basically had to scrub my face to get anything off, I did buy them at Forever 21 for about $4. I actually used these wipes up when I pressed my pigments.

Loved this eye makeup remover. My eyes didn’t get irritated at all. I probably wouldn’t re-purchase it because I went through it sooooo quickly and the first makeup remover by Neutrogena I showed didn’t irritated my eyes so I would just use that one.

You may be able to tell that I actually didn’t finish this powder but that was because it took me a long time to figure out that it was breaking out my skin. I obviously wouldn’t buy this again.

LOVE this mascara. This is just a sample size but I fell in love. I would hands down purchase the full size if it was cheaper hahaha.

This used to be my go to mascara but then I try The Rocket Volume Express and fell in love with that one.

I really really liked this product when I was using it but once I stopped I didn’t love it as much. It clogged my pores and I felt like my skin couldn’t breathe under it. It is a pretty good BB cream and I would recommend it I just probably wouldn’t buy it again.

I would maybe re-purchase this. I loved the amount of product that came out, it produced black dark lines but the applicator wasn’t that thin/pointed. There were some days when I had to take the liner off because I looked like a raccoon.

I know this isn’t a beauty product but I happened to finish it while I was collecting my other empties. I would hands down re-purchase it….I actually did. I honestly just love Dove products!

I hope you enjoyed looking at all the products I finished!

March Favourites

Happy April loves! I’ve gathered a few of my items that I kept reaching for during the month of March.

First product is Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel.

I apply this onto my breakouts every night. It is a little on the expensive side but I love it!!! It helps keep my breakouts under control as well as preventing new ones.

I recently bought these a few days ago and fell in love. I would hands down recommend these makeup removers to everyone. It really calms my face and the best part is that I don’t feel like I have to wash my face afterwards (although I would still recommend it)

Though I haven’t seen any difference yet, I love the feel of this toner on my face. It does have alcohol in it so be warned. One thing I have noticed was the reduce of oil on my face.

This is like the cheap manual version on the Clarisonic. I’ve never tried the Clarisonic but I’m assuming they do the same thing. I really feel like my skin is getting clean when ever I use it, and it’s sooooo soft afterwards. I bought it at the Body Shop, but at Sephora they sell something similar.

Effing love this scent. It’s like floral, sweet, sexy, and magical. I don’t think they sell this scent anymore 😦 but I love Bath and Body Works products.

Surprise! I do have stretch marks and I know lots of other people suffer from it too. I’m not a huge fan paying big pucks for something that I can wait for to disappear but I caved a bought this.
I haven’t noticed any difference yet because I just started using but it makes my skin more elasticity which is very nice.

I didn’t wear a lot of shadows this month but when I did go out I wore these every time. I love Urban Decay shadows.

Love. I honestly love this nude colour. It’s sheer and has gold sparkles in it to make your lips pop. I just love it sooooo much. Basically wore it everyday.

hope you all enjoyed it, and stay tuned for next month.

Foundation Review

REVIEW TIME on Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation. Well that name is a mouthful.
I bought this foundation on an impulse (which I never recommend because 90% I always end up hating it/the product breaks me out)

I bought the lightest shade available (yeah for being pale!) and it matched my skin pretty well

I wasn’t too sure about the whole mousse thing because last time I bought a mousse product it felt too heavy/thick and broke my skin out! But I was in a hurry and just bought without really thinking.

The middle is the product is the foundation. I always wear the Benefit porefessional under my foundation and the brush I use to apply the foundation is the Real Techniques buffing brush. After applying my primer I apply the foundation and blend….and blend….and blend. The foundation does blend pretty easily the issue is that it catches all the imperfections so it looks kind of cakey….but it goes away if you blend!
I would not wear this foundation if I was in a hurry because it takes so long for it to blend.

This is what it looks like after I apply it, no concealer or anything.
As you can see it does take away all redness and if you are looking straight on my acne looks minimal, but still visible.

The foundation is heavier than I would like, but does a pretty good job.

Here is what it looks like after a few hours, with no touch ups

As you can see some acne spots became more visible, but overall it looks pretty similar!
My face did stay pretty matte as well. I did set my T Zone area with a powder though.
I do have oily skin, and wouldn’t recommend for people with dry skin because it’ll probably make your dry patches more noticeable.

Overall I would recommend this product.

My Daily Night Skincare

First I use Neutrogena All-in-One Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion to remove all my makeup.

Then I’ll splash my face with water to remove the extra lotion and use The Body Shop scrubby thingy to exfoliate my face with the Neutrogena Natural Acne Cream Cleanser.

Finally after washing all that off I brush my teeth. Then I apply Dermalogica Overnight Clearing Gel on my breakouts.

I would recommend ALL these products, I’ve been using them for the past few months and love them.

REVIEW TIME : Forever21 cosmetics

Recently I bought 3 products from the Forever 21 Love & Beauty line.

First product: High Pigment Gloss in Natural

Love this. I’ve never really been a gloss gal but recently I’ve been wearing them non stop. This is perfect, I don’t have to wear a lipstick underneath for colour, but if I wanted to then you could always top it off. This lipgloss isn’t sticky but glossy.

Second Product: Velvet Lipstick in Natural

Meh. That’s all I really have to say about it. I really accents the creases in your lips (which I don’t like…..and I don’t think anyone else does either). The first time I used it, it smelled plastic….but after a few times the smell went away. I also feel I need a lot of product to get my desired look. Which I guess is good cause then I’ll use the product faster haha. I wouldn’t recommend buying this, you can find a better quality one for a little more money….but it’s worth it.

The left is the gloss and the right is the lipstick.
I couldn’t get any good photos of them on me because of lighting. The lipstick does have a more brownish/orangeish tint to it.

Final Product: Cucumber Lemon Cleansing Tissues

I bought these because I wanted to remove makeup quickly when I’m trying out different makeup looks. These are bad. It takes FOREVER to remove the makeup. And I (for some crazy reason) thought cucumbers and lemons would smell good. They don’t.

Overall I would recommend this brand for beginners, girls trying to figure out makeup and don’t want to spend a lot of money.

I hope this helps you beauties

Too Faced Better Than False Lashes: Nylon Lase Extension System

too faced mascara

Hello my beauties!

As you can tell by the title of this post, I’ll be reviewing the mascara shown above.

Honestly, I’m in love with it. It really does make your eyelashes appear bigger and as though you’re wearing false lashes. I don’t wear falsies a lot…..well…it’s more like once in a blue moon. But when I do wear them it’s usually a struggle to put them on and to find the right glue that’ll keep them on all night. And I’ve been meaning to buy a good pair of lashes but I just haven’t gotten around to it. So I was soo happy when I got this for Christmas.

I usually apply this mascara when I’m going out with my friends and a bonus is that I don’t have to worry about them falling off half way through the night!

The Application:

First you apply the mascara to the lashes. (I always curl them, so they appear even bigger)

Second you apply the nylon lash fibers to your lashes over the mascara (I only do my top)

Finally apply another coat of mascara to cover the white fibers and you have your “fake” lashes on.

Cons of the product:

The price. It is pretty expensive for mascara and honestly it is cheaper to buy fake lashes, but I personally love this mascara and I don’t have to struggle with putting on false lashes.
